SMPS Transformer Working Principle

First of all, SMPS transformer is our core switching power component for industrial power supply circuits. We provide custom winding and ferrite core design for all types of SMPS transformer.
Furthermore, in typical half-bridge circuit designs, our transformer runs at high frequencies (100kHz or higher). Switching transistors create high-frequency pulse signals. The transformer turns these pulses into stable AC output. The winding turns ratio sets your final output voltage.

Three Core SMPS Transformer Types

In addition, half-bridge power supplies rely on three kinds of high-frequency transformers:
