Description
100W / 200W audio isolation transformers are designed to transmit signal voltage and power, achieve impedance matching between circuits, and provide effective isolation against DC components.
The operating principle of transformers is the same for both high-frequency and low-frequency applications. However, they differ significantly in core materials due to their operating frequencies: low-frequency transformers typically use high-permeability silicon steel sheets, while high-frequency transformers use ferrite cores.

- Double-section metric bobbins
- Rated power: 25–200VA, 50/60Hz
- Dielectric strength: 4000Vrms

characteristics
Characteristics of Low-Frequency (Line-Frequency) Transformers
- The AC mains input power is directly applied to the primary winding, without the need for high-frequency conversion.
- The magnetic core, typically made of high-permeability silicon steel sheets, operates at 50/60Hz to couple and transfer power efficiently.
- The secondary winding induces a low-frequency voltage, which is then rectified and filtered (if required) to power the load or drive audio circuits.
- The output voltage is determined by the turns ratio of the primary and secondary windings, providing a stable voltage step-up or step-down function.
Additional key features:
- Noise & Interference Isolation: Provides galvanic isolation between circuits, blocking DC components and reducing ground loop noise in audio applications.
- Reliable Power Transfer: Designed for continuous operation at line frequency, ideal for audio equipment and industrial power applications.
- Multiple Output Configurations: Can include multiple secondary windings or taps to provide different voltage levels for various circuit needs.
- Built-In Protection: Often paired with thermal fuses or overcurrent protection to prevent damage under fault conditions.
