Description
EC42 12V mini high frequency ferrite power transformer supports 40W-500W output, which is the core component of half-bridge switching power supplies. During operation, two switching transistors alternately conduct to generate 100kHz high-frequency pulse signals. The high-frequency transformer adjusts output AC voltage by matching different primary & secondary winding turns ratios. A typical half-bridge power circuit contains 3 types of transformers: main power transformer, drive transformer and auxiliary standby transformer. Each type follows strict size standards: 1. Main transformer: Core height ≥35mm for power supplies over 200W 2. Auxiliary transformer: 16mm core is sufficient for power supplies below 300W
